Commercial Hardwood that Delivers on Design and Deadlines

Commercial engineered hardwood flooring in a museum setting

Elevating Commercial Spaces with Next-Generation Hardwood

Commercial teams live in the reality of fixed openings, compressed schedules, and unforgiving maintenance budgets. Flooring either supports the program or becomes a problem. Hardwood can do the former, if it’s built for scale and planned early.

At Haute Plank, we approach wide-plank engineered hardwood as a performance material with aesthetic benefits. The goal: predictable quality, dependable lead times, and a finish that still looks sharp long after the ribbon cutting.

The Commercial Reality

  • Schedules are tight. Phasing, inspections, and trades stack up. Material needs to hit the dock on time.
  • Traffic is heavy. Lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, boardrooms – cleanability and resilience matter.
  • Budgets get value-engineered. You still need the look of real wood and consistent spec fidelity.
  • Risk is everywhere. Holiday slowdowns, freight congestion, and last-minute design shifts happen.

What Specifiers Prioritize in Hardwood

  • Wide planks without failure: Our >10″ widths use 3/4″ construction for stability at scale.
  • European sourcing and build: 100% European-sourced and European-made materials; tight QC.
  • Finish systems built for use: HP Titanium and HP Titanium Ultra treat the entire wear layer.
  • Custom where it matters: Width, color, grading, and even thickness for transitions.
  • Sustainability signals: PEFC-certified raw materials support project requirements.

Project Controls That Actually Help

  • Lock the spec early. Confirm widths, thickness (for transitions), finish system, and total square footage before you publish drawings.
  • Name the checkpoints. Set simple milestones: design sign-off, color/finish approval, production start, ship date, delivery window. Put a person next to each one.
  • Use a calendar that reflects reality. We provide a plain-English schedule that accounts for European factory holidays and typical port slowdowns, with “order-by” dates that keep you out of the danger zone.
  • Get proactive status updates. One point of contact. Updates on a regular cadence—no chasing, no surprises.
  • Stage domestically if needed. If your site isn’t ready, we can receive product early and hold it. Your crew gets material when the space is ready.
  • Own it end-to-end. We manage the line from raw material through delivery. No finger-pointing between vendors.

Pre-Spec Checklist (For Architects/Designers)

Use this to get to a clean, buildable spec…fast.

  • Program & traffic profile: Lobby, corridor, guest rooms, office, retail
  • Plank intent: Target width(s) + required thickness (note transitions)
  • Line selection: Haute Plank (custom) or Maison Plank (pre-spec)
  • Finish system: HP Titanium / HP Titanium Ultra (Haute) or Maison spec
  • Color direction: Light / neutral / deep + adjacency constraints (stone, metal, millwork)
  • Subfloor & install: Moisture control, method (glue for Haute; click or glue for Maison), acclimation plan
  • Approvals path: Mockups, strike-offs, sign-off milestones & owners
  • Schedule windows: Approvals, production, ship, on-site dates with buffers

Straight Talk on Lead Times

International logistics change. We plan for that. We give you date ranges, call out holiday slowdowns, and recommend ordering earlier than you think you need. If your space is behind, we store. If freight tightens, you’re not scrambling.

Let’s Talk Commercial

Bring us in early. You’ll get cleaner specs, a realistic delivery plan, and flooring that still looks right a thousand days later.
