All boards over 10 inches wide are 3/4″ thick. Narrower planks are available in either 5/8″ or 3/4″, depending on your project requirements. Both options deliver the look and stability of solid wood with the enhanced performance of engineered construction.

Our wear layers are either 4mm or 6mm, depending on the product specification. Both options allow for future refinishing and deliver long-term durability appropriate for residential and light commercial use.

Our marine birch core is sourced from Europe and engineered to withstand environmental changes. It has structural memory that helps planks return to their original form after minor expansion or contraction.

Our standard widths go well beyond the industry norm, and we can build planks up to 40 inches wide and up to 38 feet long. This is made possible by our proprietary three-layer construction, which maintains structural integrity even at extreme dimensions.

Our construction method, combined with quality European-sourced materials and rigorous X-ray inspection, eliminates internal air pockets and reduces risk of movement.

Every board is X-rayed multiple times during manufacturing to detect adhesion issues between layers. Boards that don’t meet structural integrity standards are rejected.

The stability of our marine birch core and treatment of the wear layer reduces the expansion and contraction that often occurs in arid or variable climates.

Subfloors must be clean, flat, dry, and structurally sound. We recommend plywood, OSB, or properly prepared concrete for best results. Uneven surfaces must be leveled before installation.

Haute Plank flooring must be installed using either a full glue-down or nail-down method. It is not approved for floating installation due to its weight and construction. Our wood-veneer line, Maison Plank, is compatible with floating installation and is available in several of our most popular colors.

Yes. A vapor barrier is required when installing over concrete or in moisture-prone areas. Always follow NWFA installation guidelines to protect your flooring from moisture-related issues.

Yes, our flooring can be installed over radiant heat with proper precautions. Follow our radiant installation guidelines and ensure temperature changes are gradual. The HVAC system must be functional before install begins.

Ensure the subfloor is dry and flat, HVAC is running, and the product has acclimated in the space for at least 48 hours. Job sites must be fully enclosed and climate-controlled before flooring is delivered.

The installer is responsible for confirming that the environment is suitable for installation. We include a SmartPlank™ device to help homeowners monitor conditions, but it does not replace professional oversight.

Yes, but only if proper moisture mitigation steps are taken. A vapor barrier and professional moisture testing are required. Floating installations are often preferred in below-grade spaces.
